A day in a informal settlement

This morning I’m going to school. I don’t have lunch so I eat at school.
So I dress up and wait for my transport outside it’s very cold. I wait at the porch my transport is a taxi I live in zwelitsha.  So I go to school and our school starts at. 8 o’clock. School start then there was only ten learning books but there are fifty children. We had to share the books. It is break time, we only have one break not two.  So we have food to eat from school. Today we ate rice, meat, spinach and cabbage. It was very tasty. We had tuck shop ,ours wasn’t a truck we had table unhealthy food like sweet fat cooks and burgers. It is end of school so I wait for my transport it is  very late so I just wait for my transport to come . I come at 6 o’clock i eat food from the leftover from yesterday. Today is Saturday and my grandma is sick so she went to the clinic.


I went with her in the morning it had a big line . I wish my family had an appointment so that we can skip this line. We bought the pills but the  other pills we haven’t had money to buy the other important pills. My hope is that all of the people who are living in a shack that they can have electricity to cook and wash. We only wash our clothes in a bucket. I hope that the environment will to improve with running taps and safe shacks
